We have you tour booking. Here a few reminders and some helpful information.

We have found it is best for Couples to have a clear understand of their guest count and budget before attending onsite tours. If you have stated your wedding budget as unknown, we will reach out to you before you tour.

We want to share with you that it is not realistic to host a wedding of say 100 guests with a budget $11,000 -$15,000. It’s not possible. When you use our Budget Estimator it would more likely start at $20,000 -$25,000 for 100 guests. Budget discussions are tough - you just got engaged and we want you to enjoy that time together, but we also know it is no fun (for you or us) if you fall in love with Blackwood Barn or Laurenvale Estate or both on your tour and the numbers $$ don’t work out. We would rather have that discussion now, be transparent and upfront before you invest your time and your hearts with us on a tour. We just believe that is the right thing to do. Our job is not to get you to tour, talk you into booking us, try to persuade you to sign a contract and then you find you are feeling pressured. We don’t operate this way. We are here to look after you both from the start. We don’t have investors to keep happy, we decided to go into the wedding business because we love weddings and we love families we meet at weddings. (40 years married for us next year)

Please invite anyone to the tour who needs to see the venue/s in person before you book your wedding.

Almost everything on the tour is on the website. Couples, their family and friends are less overwhelmed by information on the tour if everyone thoroughly reads our website before the tour. That way you are just soaking up the beautiful venues when you tour.

Google Maps will send you on a crazy detour via Frazerview. Don’t go this way, stick to the Cunningham Hwy until you get into the Aratula township. Turn right at the Tarome/Elizabeth Street sign.
Blackwood Barn is on your right at 26 Elizabeth Street, Aratula.
Laurenvale Estate is situated at 149 Ryan Road, Tarome.

Your Wedding Date. Please check availability of your wedding date and day on the website under ‘Dates’ in the header.

Cancellations and tour date change. We appreciate couples that let us know of any last minute changes. We don’t reside at the venues so will be making a special trip to meet you and putting our day aside too, we really appreciate you letting us know if you are not going to make the tour or wish to change the date.
