It’s started with Love on all sides. We married at 20 in 1984 and are still in love.

In 2004 we leased out and moved from our beautiful Gold Coast riverfront farm into the western Scenic Rim area, Purchasing various properties in the area. It was easy to fall in love with the breathtaking scenery that the Scenic Rim, one of our favour properties is Laurenvale Estate with views to NSW. It really did remind us so much of our home in Germany. The Scenic Rim panoramas are just like those in Europe. Any wonder the Germans chose to farm this region - one of the most fertile valleys in the Southern Hemisphere, which also allowed us to breed and export horses worldwide.

We happened to fall in love with 2 old former Aratula School of Arts halls, badly in need of re-loving. Having renovated many properties throughout our lives, coupled with our love of building & timber, Kathy’s was taught the trade by her father, we decided to buy the halls and bring them back to life. We then started being approached by Couples wanting a venue where there was plently of room, we were able to fill a void in local wedding industry.

Young newly engaged city folk frequenting our Tarome mountaintop property prompted us to share our treasure with others, and invite Love to enter our gate at Laurenvale Estate, The White Capella is a phenomenal place for Ceremonies. We felt suitably equipped with a long and varied business background in Hospitality & Paving contracting with Small Business, Entrepreneurial & Major Franchise awards, we simply thought - why not ! Why not help couples celebrate the happiest day of their lives. We are very dedicated to service and are ready to join exciting and friendly Couples on one of the most romantic journey’s of their lives.
