First Look Photos

You won’t feel as pressured, you’ll be much more relaxed at your ceremony and it will be even more enjoyable. Couples that have opted for ‘First Look’ will confirm this. Many that didn’t choose this option wish they did.

You will both get the crying over, no one will see that part if you don’t want them to:) No running mascara.

When you choose ‘First Look Photos’ your guests won’t have to wait around for hours, they return to Blackwood Barn for food and drink

Consider First Look Photos especially in late autumn, winter and spring while there is still lots of light. This reduces the Cocktail Hour and may allow you the option of reducing the amount of Canape’s, possibly opting for grazing tables (allowing more funds on photography or on more time with them OR another meal course at the Barn). A great option at Laurenvale Estate is to incorporate open air speeches surrounded by mountains before returning to Blackwood Barn. This is a great photo opportunity also.

If you have chosen videography during First Look photos - you can allocate more time to the video shoot and obtain even more footage. Get an even greater ‘movie’ like those you see on Instagram.

It also allows opportunity for more unhurried staging, this is a GREAT thing. Step into perfect lighting. Your photographer & videographer will be able to capture your intimate and amazing reactions during this quiet unhurried window of time. They can be thoroughly prepared and ready, no missing ‘that’ shot. Zero guest distractions.

It will be one of your favourite relaxed intimate times during the day.
